PulsePoint’s Trader Hall of Fame honors individuals who lead the charge in programmatic healthcare advertising. Our inductees demonstrate their expertise in using PulsePoint’s Life platform day in and day out. With their skills, they ensure that lifesaving treatments reach healthcare professionals and patients precisely at the moments that matter to drive real outcomes.

This month, PulsePoint is excited to induct Kelsey Bozler, Associate Director of Programmatic at Silverlight Digital, to our Trader Hall of Fame.

In this article, you’ll learn more about her unconventional path to programmatic media buying, her passion for teaching and data, and the top advice she has for any corporate-world newcomers.

Kelsey’s path to programmatic healthcare marketing

Kelsey, an educator at heart, didn’t originally set her sights on the corporate world or programmatic media buying. Her first encounter with programmatic came while she was pursuing her master’s degree in childhood education, where she interned on the media activation team at Spongecell. What she originally thought was a temporary “side gig” defined by a culture of eating Pop-Tarts and taking turns picking songs from the in-office jukebox sparked an interest that she would later pursue after a decade of teaching.

“It turns out that I really enjoyed working with data sets and running campaigns. Plus, goal setting was really satisfying to me,” Kelsey said. “I really had my heart in teaching. But, 10 years later, I was able to leave without looking back, knowing that programmatic was really truly what I wanted to do.”

Kelsey’s favorite parts of programmatic media buying

Kelsey, who also won a PulsePoint 2025 User Award in the Reporting Wizard category, said the best parts of programmatic in her eyes are getting to the why behind the numbers and uncovering patterns in the data, which she described as “making sense of chaos.”

She went on to explain that programmatic also enables her to shape strategy through storytelling and improve how teams operate, which are rewarding aspects of the job.

Kelsey said that she never thought she would love making sense of data the way that she does. “I love Microsoft Excel and I use Monday.com in my personal family life. I never thought I’d be this type of data person, yet here I am.”

Kelsey’s advice for newcomers to the corporate world

When asked to provide advice to those entering the programmatic field, Kelsey emphasized the importance of learning from others and not pretending to know everything.

Kelsey explained that her advice comes from the educational concept of the zone of proximal development, which defines a sweet spot where individuals learn most effectively. Specifically, learners are most receptive when completing activities that are challenging but not impossible with a bit of guidance.

“You should lean in to learn from people with more experience than you. That’s where you learn the most,” Kelsey explained.

Kelsey also reflected on two pieces of advice that she received around the same time that really helped her grow in her career and personally.

On the professional side, when she was a trader, someone told her, “You know what to do. You just need to trust yourself.”

“I didn’t want to spend money. I was scared. But it was true. I needed to make those decisions,” Kelsey explained.

On the personal side, a friend told her that she needed to take herself more seriously. “The grasshopper needed to grow,” she explained.

Kelsey and her PulsePoint experience

Prior to working with the PulsePoint platform, Kelsey did a lot of manual optimizations. Now, with PulsePoint’s Adaptive Optimization™, the platform helps her save time by automatically optimizing campaign performance.

“You guys have levers that actually really work,” Kelsey explained. “Adaptive Optimization saves so much time and is really helpful.”

In addition to the optimization feature, Kelsey said she really appreciates the support from PulsePoint’s team members, who always offer to do a deep dive into new features like the clinical insights dashboard.

“Since I was coming from retail media, I found it really helpful to have that support in pharma in general. It really helped me transition, because the pharma space is so different,” she said.

Kelsey’s interests outside of the programmatic world

When she’s not analyzing data to improve campaign performance, Kelsey can be found traveling, scouting places to listen to live music, painting, reading, or spending time with her family.

We asked about her favorite travel destination, and Kelsey didn’t hesitate slightly when she said, “Japan,” explaining that everything about the culture, architecture, and food has her itching to go back.

“The food is perfect. I did not have one bad meal,” she said.

Also, for all of the book lovers out there, her favorite is “The Count of Monte Cristo,” which she said is “some good fun revenge.”

Please join me in congratulating Kelsey, our latest inductee into the PulsePoint Trader Hall of Fame.
